Swedish Red Wine from Vineyards in Sweden
Red wine comes from blue grapes, although some green grapes may be involved in the production. The skin of the blue grapes is where the dyes and tannins are present, which give the red wine its colour and roughness. Unlike white wines, the skin is left in the fermentation of red wines. Red wines can range from bright red to dark blue, sometimes almost black in colour.
Our Scandinavian red wines mainly come from the grapes Rondo, Cabernet Cortis, Sirame, Leon Millot and Regent.
