Flädie Vingård

Flädie Vingård  The vineyard is located in the small village of Flädie, outside of Lomma in southwestern SkåneIt is located about 4 km northeast from the coastline, giving it a rather distinctive climate between coastal and inland climate. The cultivation site is located on a southwestern slope with good exposure to sunlight. Today, five different grape varieties are grown here, Solaris, Rondo, Cabernet CortisPhônix and Leon Millot. The grape varieties are distributed on just under 9000 vines on about 2.5 hectares of mineral-rich clay soil.

Facts about the estate
Flädie Vingård was established in 2007 and in the spring of 2020 it was taken over by the current owners, the Wikholm family who already owned the Assmåsa vineyard. Our philosophy is that healthy vines and a natural balance between vine and soil will come through in the character of the grapes and the wine. In addition, healthy vines reduces the need for tractor driving and sulfur spraying.

Above all, we try to give as much love as we can to each individual vine. This requires a lot of work and is made possible through our volunteer force Vinvännerna (the friends of wine) - a group of passionate wine lovers who help us out in the vineyard from shortly after the pruning in February until the end of the growing season in October.

At Flädie Vingård, we believe that the place of growth and the vintage should be reflected in every vintage wine - if there is no potential to produce a certain type of wine a certain year, we rather change our plans and produce higher volumes of the types that do have that potential. Our focus is always the quality and excellence of all our wines, not the quantity produced. Our long-term goal is to produce some of the best wines in Sweden and to contribute to putting Sweden on the international wine map.
