Kullaberg New Years Dinner
A New Years taser suggestion by Kullabergs Vingård
K 2021: Delight in the nuanced flavor profile showcasing hints of apricot jam, yellow apples, saffron, spices, grapefruit, mimosa flowers, and dried pineapple. This wine is crafted partially from grapes affected by noble rot, or botrytis. Vinification occurred in a blend of stainless steel tanks and large oak barrels.
Immelen: Aged for ten months on its lees, this wine underwent regular stirring, known as bâttonage. The result is a complex white wine with remarkable depth, featuring a spectrum from clear fruit to bready, nutty undertones and toasty aromas. It strikes a harmonious balance between dryness and full-bodied richness, delivering a superb mouthfeel.
Askesäng: A full-bodied white wine with oak hints, crafted from Souvignier Gris and Solaris grape varieties. Fermented in steel tanks, oak barrels, and barriques, it possesses a distinct character, ranging from bready and nutty to fruity notes of red apples, pineapple, licorice root, and spicy nuances.
Gylleröd: An orange wine derived from Souvignier Gris grapes harvested in mid-October. Fermented with skin contact for 20 days and matured in French oak for four months, it gains structure, color, and a full mouthfeel through prolonged skin contact.
Lyckeri: Revel in this white wine, characterized by its fresh and fruity notes of apple, lemon, peach, mango, and blooming linden. A blend of several grape varieties contributes to its vibrant flavor profile.
Brännelyckan: Experience a robust, slightly spicy taste with barrel character, revealing hints of sultanas, almonds, orange, cardamom, and herbs. Serve chilled or at room temperature for a delightful digestif experience.
